Litter Quest Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the LitterQuest app ("App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

2. Changes to Terms

LitterQuest reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or within the App. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

3. User Responsibilities

• Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances while using the App. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that you have the necessary permissions to take and upload photographs.
• Appropriate Use: You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not upload any content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Safety: You are responsible for your own safety while using the App. Exercise caution when cleaning up litter and taking photographs, and avoid hazardous areas.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

5. Content Ownership and Usage

• User-Generated Content: Any content you upload, including photographs, remains your property. By uploading content, you grant LitterQuest a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, distribute, and promote your content in connection with the App, including for marketing purposes, posting on social media, and other promotional activities.
• Prohibited Content: You must not upload content that violates any laws, is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others.

6. Intellectual Property

• Ownership: All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to software, design, and content, are owned by LitterQuest or its licensors.
• Restrictions: You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without explicit permission from LitterQuest.

7. Limitation of Liability

• General: LitterQuest is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations regarding the availability, accuracy, or completeness of the App.
• Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitterQuest and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
• Physical Safety and Legal Issues: LitterQuest is not responsible for any physical injury, legal consequences, or damages that may occur while using the App.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LitterQuest and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
